Legal Background & Local Roots

Before becoming an attorney, Zach spent several years in tech sales and marketing, sharpening his skills in negotiation, client communication, and pressure-based decision-making. He later earned his J.D. from the University of Idaho College of Law, where he served on the Idaho Law Review and worked on legal research spanning bicycle law, parental rights, and constitutional justice. Zach also externed with the Washington State Attorney General’s Office, gaining firsthand experience with public interest law and civil advocacy.

 
Zach's approach is to speak softly and carry a big stick. If a case can't be resolved through a collaboration and compromise, he's ready to support clients through the litigation process and into trial. Zach has resolved a variety of cases through negotiation, mediation, litigation and in the courtroom. Every case and every client is unique. He'll work with you to help make the right decision for you and your family.

Born and raised in Bellingham, Zach understands the region’s values and legal landscape—because he’s part of the community he serves. When he isn't serving clients, Zach can be found on the trails riding his bike,  hiking, or skiing with his wife Keyaira and two children. Zach is also active in the local music scene.
